Progress review workshop on a project held at BKMEA Dhaka office today. To facilitate the female workers on health issues in knitwear sector this project is driving jointly by BKMEA and IPAS Bangladesh.
BKMEA vice president Mr. Akhter Hossain Apurbo was present in the event. He said, this project is running in some factories. But it doesn’t represent the whole scenario of the sector. We should work in more factories together. Workers are more aware now than the past and can discuss their problems without hesitations. We are keen to develop our sector by making them stronger he added. 
Mr. Minhazul Hoque, director, BKMEA was also present at the meeting. He urged to develop a trainer pool to provide the service at the factories. It will help the female workers to get effective measures as early as they need. 
Dr. Ziaul Ahsan, project director, improving SRHR in Dhaka project, Ipas Bangladesh and Farhana Jesmine Hasan, Sr. technical advisor SGBV from same project were present at the program.
