BKMEA Administrative process in a nutshell

Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) is one of the largest trade Associations in the country representing the Knitwear Industry and Sweater sub-sectors with equal importance. Starting its journey in 1996 today BKMEA takes care of an industry that is at the backbone of Bangladesh’s economy. Since the inception, BKMEA is dedicated to promote and facilitate the apparel industry through policy advocacy to the government, services to members, ensuring workers’ rights and social compliance at factories. BKMEA Admin department officially started its journey from the starting period. BKMEA Finance, HR, IT, Protocol, Fair, Arbitration, Dept. are directly under the supervision of BKMEA Admin department. 

 

Goal: 

Create and maintain a highly qualified, professional, diverse, and responsive workforce that accurately reflects the Knitwear sector of Bangladesh and supports the Sector’s mission, vision, and values.

Objectives

  • Provide employees with a work environment where teamwork is paramount, ideas are rewarded, creativity and risk-taking are encouraged, and successes are celebrated.
  • Encourage managers to be mentors and leadership role models to their staffs.
  • Promote professional growth and development opportunities through an improved employee recruitment, selection, retention, and training process as outlined in the department’s Workforce Development Plan.
  • Assess job performance based on meaningful standards and measures.
  • Create an atmosphere of openness, trust, and support so employees can readily admit mistakes, assume responsibility, and apply resources to fix problems.
  • Promote work life balance.
  • Organize official meetings, seminars in due manners.

Activities of Admin Dept. of BKMEA

The main job responsibility of BKMEA administrator is to ensure the efficient performance of all departments under the supervision of CEO. CEO is the head of the Administration who provides motivation to the work force and makes them (All cells and dept.) understood the goals of the organization. Regular activities are cited out below:

  • To provide information and reports to the President, Board of Director and different standing committee members.
  • To perform any duties assigned by President or other directors.
  • To enhance the office staff’s ability to manage and organize office effectively and professionally
  • Prepare the different plan and organize the activities efficiently.
  • To maintain all documents in proper manners.
  • To represent and attend different official meetings and seminar in the various sectors.
  • To recommend the budget for the different department, offices, or other activities within limitations established by the board or President.
  • To develop an appropriate office management and administrative strategy with the concern of management.
  • To ensure the efficient performance of all department.
  • Arrange all types of AGM, EGM and co-ordination meeting on BKMEA office premises as well as outside.
  • Organize the fair in the home and abroad with the BKMEA fair cell.
  • To coordinate between different cells and help them to work to achieve the organizational goal.
  • To nurture the vision, mission and motto of the organization and create a work environment that would propel the employees to work towards that mission vision and mottos.
